Every word we speak and receive shapes something in us, for better or for worse. Dumela is one of those words worth pausing on. The third meaning is to believe. "Ke dumela jalo" means "I believe so." Hold belief not as opinion, but as a bridge, the space between what has not yet shown its face and what is already calling itself forward. To believe is to trust what is unseen, and in trusting it, to let it arrive.
